The short version

Two networks, and no others. Tour and activity cards link to GetYourGuide. The "see stays in this area" buttons on where to stay in Queenstown and the neighbourhood pages go through Stay22, which forwards you to Booking.com or another hotel site. If you book after clicking one, that platform pays us a commission out of its own margin. Your price is identical either way, and clicking costs you nothing.

We are not a tour operator, a travel agency or a ticket seller. We sell nothing, take no payments and act as nobody's agent.

Who does what

We compare listings and link out. The platform takes your payment, issues the voucher and handles customer service; the company named on the listing runs the jet boat, the bungy, the cruise or the transfer. If a departure is cancelled for weather, that is settled between you, the platform and the operator under their own policies, and we cannot refund or reschedule anything.

Buying direct is often the better move here, and the pages say so. Links to skyline.co.nz, bungy.co.nz, shotoverjet.com, realnz.com and doc.govt.nz are plain links with no tracking and no commission to us, and the operator's own row sits first in every ticket table.

What the commission does not buy

Placement, ratings, wording. Nobody has paid to appear on this site or to be described in a particular way, and no operator sees a page before it is published.

The test is on the pages themselves: several of the most-read pages send you to an operator's own checkout that pays us nothing, and say when a packaged version is not worth its markup. Where a booked tour does earn its price we give the reason, whether that is a transfer you would otherwise drive or a time slot that sells out.

Ratings and reviews

Every rating and review count on a tour card is the platform's own published number, read on the date printed with it. We calculate no rating of our own, this site carries no aggregate rating in its markup because it has no reviews, and we write no testimonials. Quoted reviews are short excerpts kept as published, with their source.

Prices

Tour prices here are the lowest adult rate on the listing at the last check, and operator prices are the rate published on the operator's own booking page at the date shown. Both are given in US dollars with the New Zealand dollar in brackets, converted at the European Central Bank reference rate stated on the page; the New Zealand figure is what the checkout will charge.

Both also move: platforms reprice constantly, and New Zealand operators change prices with the season. The figure that counts is the one on the checkout page before you pay. When it disagrees with ours, the checkout is right and we would like to know.

The nightly bands on the neighbourhood pages are a different thing again: the middle half of the rates a hotel search returned for one midweek night, read on the date printed beside them, there to compare one area against another. They are not a quote.
