What this site is

Queenstown City Guide is an independent editorial guide to Queenstown, New Zealand. It is not the official website of Destination Queenstown, the Queenstown Lakes District Council, the Otago Regional Council, the Department of Conservation, RealNZ, Skyline Enterprises, AJ Hackett Bungy, Shotover Jet, NZSki or Ngāi Tahu Tourism, and it is not affiliated with any of them or with any other operator described here. We are not a tour operator, a travel agency or a ticket seller, and we take no payments.

Accuracy and dates

Prices, hours, season dates, road status and activity details are read from official and operator sources on the date printed beside them. In this part of the world they change quickly: an operator reprices, a lift season shifts with the snow, a highway closes for avalanche control, a bridge is shut after an inspection. Always confirm on the operator's booking page or the responsible authority's site before you travel, buy or build a day around a figure found here.

We give no warranty that the information is complete or current, and we are not liable for a missed departure or a decision taken on the basis of a page on this site.

Adventure activities and your own safety

Bungy jumping, jet boating, skydiving, paragliding, skiing and alpine walking carry real risk, and nothing here is a safety instruction or a substitute for one. The operator's own briefing, its published health and weight rules and the current alerts from the Department of Conservation and the New Zealand Avalanche Advisory govern what you do on the day. Judging whether an activity or a track suits you is your decision and the operator's, not ours.

Bookings are with someone else

Every booking you make after leaving this site is a contract between you and the operator or the platform, on their terms. Availability, prices, vouchers, refunds, weather cancellations, safety and the experience itself are theirs. We hold no reservations, cannot change or refund one, and cannot make commitments on anyone's behalf.
